Where is sunny space based?

We are based in the Parks, in Sunny Joburg but travel can be arranged. No travel fee is charged for projects within a 15km radius. Thereafter we charge R5 per kilometre.

How long does a decluttering session take?

The duration of a decluttering session varies depending on factors such as the size of the space, the level of clutter, and your specific needs. During our initial consultation, we’ll assess your situation and provide an estimate of the time required for the project. Each project and person is unique, so exact timeframes may vary however you will be kept updated throughout the process.

Do i have to be present to manage the project?

This comes down to your personal preference, but we certainly don’t insist on you being present. It’s practical to have you there at the beginning and end of the project, however we’re happy to keep you updated with messages and photos throughout the process so we can make sure it meets, or better yet, exceeds your expectations.

I feel embarrassed about the current state of my home

There is absolutely no need to. We lead busy lives and the world is more chaotic than it has ever been before. We’d love to help you feel better about your home. After all, it’s the space where you should feel the most comfortable at peace. We have a strict no-judgement policy as well as a confidentiality promise. We respect that your home is private and will ensure all details are kept strictly confidential.

What happens to the items i no longer want?

We prioritise sustainability and responsible disposal practices. We’ll do our best to monetise items for you through platforms like FB Marketplace and Yaga – we have a good idea of what there is a demand for and strongly believe that one person’s trash is another one’s treasure. Items not in demand will be donated to a charity on your behalf. Excess rubbish and waste will be transported to the nearest dump site and disposed of and where possible, recycled.

What extra costs can i expect?

Should your project require additional containers or storage, this will be sourced and provided for at an additional charge. Where possible, we will always try to repurpose existing containers you already own. Services provided by our artisans are also charged for separately, and will be quoted for based on your budget and requirements. (woodwork, painting, clothing alterations etc.)
